NaNoWriMo, the Final Countdown

So, after surviving Thanksgiving and Black Friday (a verrrry slow day at the office, let me just say), I’m ready to kick it back into high gear on NaNo.  I need just under 10,000 words by Monday night at midnight, and I would guess that I only have about six hundred hand-written.  So, today and tomorrow — but mostly today, as family is visiting tomorrow — I will be mag-lev’ing it across a desert, facing down an army, and making an extremely difficult final decision that might avert a war or cause one, depending on what I choose.

I also want to go back toward the beginning and write in a fight scene in a really awesome fighting style I ran across online that fits with my plot and setting perfectly.  That should give me at least another thousand words.

All right, wish me luck.  I’m off to slay the beast!
