Spring is here and with it comes the migration of the Blackberry from its warmer winter climes to the seasonally chillier area I call home.
The Blackberry, colloquially called the “Crackberry,” is a native species of Technologia, originating on the West Coast near Silicon Valley. To nest instead in the Bluegrass could be seen as something of a risk, as the region is not traditionally known for its speedy acceptance of non-native species. Yet, despite the challenges, I now find myself playing host to a subspecies known as the Tour.
I can only hope that my newest pet does not consume my soul by tying me permanently to my work. 😀
