We’re off to the Queen City for a weekend of fun and (hopefully) relaxation in what will probably be our last vacation for a good, long while. After this, we’re booked pretty well solid for at least the next month between work and social obligations. At least I have a work trip to Indianapolis, a visit from a friend, a wedding and a bridal shower to look forward to in that time frame.
But this weekend it’s just us and our anniversary. It’s kind of hard to believe that it’s already been a year since we got married. We’ve been so busy with the move and the house and everything that it seems like only a few months ago that we were hoping that the rain would pass us by!
Despite the insanity, this has been a year I wouldn’t change for the world. I’m married to the man I love, and we’ve managed to make a home together somewhere where we won’t have to pack up and move in a year. Both our jobs are going well. We’re making new friends and have visited with old ones. And we’ve given thought to starting a family.
All in all, I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be.
